My New Year started off with good news - a promotion at work. I decided it was time for a change. This change I can control. I'm a good nurse with a good education that can truly take me anywhere I choose. The hours are different and probably not very conducive to trying to find a relationship but my thought is this... It's time I took the control of "finding a relationship" out of my hands and place them in someone's that's had control all along. I just have to be open to the person that God places there for me when the time is right. I've had several opportunities both here and other websites to go out with some very nice gentlemen and something has always held me back. It's hard to try and find that new - perhaps right - gentleman when you are holding on to the past. And especially when you allow that past to constantly call you and hang around and whisper in your ear how much of a fool he was to "ever let me get away"... So the New Year's resolution is to focus on me. To control the things I can. To turn over the things I can't. To remember the future is always brighter than the darkness of the past. To remember that things happen for a reason - usually to kick your butt out of a rut and back on the intended path. And to remember that knocks on the door are meant to be answered. It may just be a salesman with a bill of goods... or it could be your future.
